I am an artist and printmaker I work from a studio in Frodsham close to the south bank of the Mersey Estuary in the UK.

   My current focus is printmaking and I have been creating a series of mixed media prints with collage primarily using screen process. I'm looking closely at elements of the city of Liverpool that have been embraced by the concept of heritage. I am selecting the smallest objects from the National Museums through to the largest of environmental artefacts and structures that give the city an emphatic sense of place and a unique historical identity.

   By bringing images together on the surface of the artwork I aim to generate an insight into the cities significant 'active' history. A record through time that we rub up against continually but don't usually confront or digest fully.
